Where this record sits
The island is one list. Valletta, Sliema, St Julian’s, Birkirkara, Mosta and Gozo are service areas on that list, not separate cities.
Limestone townhouses, apartment blocks and flat roofs are common. Summer heat, sea air and winter rain decide a lot of the work.
How to read a price for this kind of work
Work in Malta is priced in euro. Ask what the written figure includes. A number on a card is not a quote from this site.
What to ask before you phone
When you phone EDI Electrical & Plumbing Contractors, use this record as the starting point: Garage 2 Triq George Tayar (Filantropiku) Taz-Zwejt, San Gwann, Malta SGN 3163. Ask whether they will come to your address, then ask the questions that match the work.
Some external changes need a Planning Authority permit. Electrical work that falls under S.L. 545.24 has to be done under a REWS Authorisation A or B. A listing is a name and a phone number, not a permit.
Plumbing & Heating
Ask whether the visit is a leak, a bathroom, or a heating appliance, and which authorisation covers it.
- Is the job water, heating, or a gas appliance?
- Which local authorisation covers the person who attends?
- Does the figure include removal, controls and tax?
- Is a call-out separate from the work itself?
Electrical
Ask what test record you will be left with, and whether the work needs a REWS authorisation.
- Is the job a repair, a consumer-unit change, or a rewire?
- What test record will you leave, and is that record included?
- Does the work need a REWS authorisation, and which one?
- Will you visit this address before a price?
