Grants
Which home energy grant is still open.
A grant page answers two things: can this scheme still be used, and who can use it. The date on the page is the day the official text was checked. This site does not send the application.
Checked 13 October 2026.
Schemes and rules on this shelf
- Whether the Boiler Upgrade Scheme is still open. England and Wales. The grant is a discount on the installer’s quote. You do not apply to Ofgem yourself.
- Whether the Warm Homes Local Grant can pay for the work. England, for eligible private homes. The council surveys the house and arranges the work if it still has funding.
- Whether ECO4 or the Great British Insulation Scheme is still open. The Great British Insulation Scheme has closed. ECO4 runs to 31 December 2026 so suppliers can finish existing targets and put failed installs right.
- Gas Safe register: who can work on gas in a home. Gas Safe registration, what the ID card is for, and the emergency number if you smell gas.
Where these rules apply
The pages on this shelf are about England, and, where the official text says so, Wales or the rest of Great Britain. Scotland and Northern Ireland run their own schemes. A figure checked for England is the wrong figure to use there.
The Malta directory on this site is a separate list. Its prices are in euro and its phone numbers use +356. Gas Safe and these pound grants are not the rules for that directory.
A Polish or Romanian entrance opens the same United Kingdom lists. The scheme rules on this shelf stay in English. You still phone the business yourself. A qualification such as Gas Safe, NICEIC, NAPIT, TrustMark or FENSA is printed only when the record already has it. Local Trades UK does not award it and does not guarantee the work.
For a band on the work itself, use the cost guides. For a fault that may be yours to watch for a day, use the maintenance notes.
